Strokes of Genius - Train The Talent - April 2, 2012 UN Plaza
On April 2, 2012 Strokes of Genius presented trophies to two of their artists who were selected from around the world as winners of the United Nations 2012 World Autism Awareness stamp design competition. Strokes of Genius honored various artists for their contributions to society and awarded "Train the Talent" awards to their parents for encouraging and supporting the artistic talents of their sons and daughters.

Amanda LaMunyon was diagnosed with a form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome when she was eight. Asperger's made it tough for her to communicate -- until she picked up a paintbrush.According to her website, since she began painting Amanda has "emerged from an inward world to a world of giving and caring."
